Veneman’s photography class at The Dixie

This fall, digital photography classes are all set to start under the direction of well known photojournalist Jim Veneman. In a release, Dixie Carter Performing Arts and Academic Enrichment Center in Huntingdon revealed the news.

The class will start on 9th September and it would have 2 sessions and each session will last for 6 weeks. The 1st session will have digital photography class on every Monday, while the 2nd session will consist if advanced digital photography class on Mondays. The introductory classes will be on Tuesdays.

The classes will happen at The Dixie, at 191 Court Square, Huntingdon. People who will take part in the event will use academic enrichment entrance, stated the release. The applications are now available at – www.dixiepac.net.

Most recently, Jim Veneman worked as an assistant professor as well as the visual communication director at the Union University. Before going to the Union, he worked as a photojournalist with the LifeWay Christian Resources, Nashville for fourteen years.

Jim still continues his shooting assignments. He has covered places like Iraq and with these assignments he produced a book named A Greater Freedom. Jim also followed days immediately after the attack in the World Trade Center in New York City. He covered meetings with Fidel Castro in Cuba as well as mission challenges in Asia to international gatherings in Kenya, South Africa and Australia.
